Threaded rods M6–M24

Prices and stock — Tbilisi warehouse. Order online in a minute.

A threaded rod is a universal element for hangers, ties and anchoring. The standard length of 2000 mm is cut to size right on site. Diameters run from M6 to M24: M6–M10 go on hangers for ventilation, cable trays and suspended ceilings, M12–M16 on load-bearing hangers and formwork ties, M18–M24 on anchoring heavy equipment and embedded parts. All rods are galvanized, which protects them from corrosion in dry rooms; outdoors and in damp areas allow a margin in diameter or add extra protection. The metric thread runs the full length, so a rod can be joined with couplers and locked with a nut at any point.

About this section: Threaded rods M6–M24

A 2-metre threaded rod is the basic element of any hanger: ventilation, cable trays, drywall ceilings, pipes, air conditioners, equipment on brackets. The section has nine diameters from M6 to M24, all galvanized, strength class 4.8, threaded over the whole length. Galvanizing protects against corrosion in dry and moderately damp rooms; for outdoors and swimming pools you need stainless steel, which we bring to order.

The diameter is chosen by the load. M6 and M8 carry light hangers for ducts and ceilings, M10 and M12 go on trays and pipes, M16 and above on equipment and on monolithic work, where the rod serves as a formwork tie. The rod is cut to the lengths needed with an angle grinder, and the end is cleaned so that the nut runs freely. For fixing into concrete use an anchor with an internal thread or a chemical anchor; for hanging from a floor slab, a wedge anchor with the matching thread.

Nuts and washers are not included — buy them separately for your diameter. Sold in packs of 5 to 50 pieces depending on the diameter; wholesale terms apply on orders of five packs or more. The price is for one 2-metre rod, VAT included.

Frequently asked questions

Which rod diameter should I choose?

M8–M10 is usually enough for ventilation and ceiling hangers, M12–M16 for load-bearing hangers, M18–M24 for anchoring equipment. The calculation is made on the load per point.

Can the rod be cut?

Yes, rods are cut to length with an angle grinder or a hacksaw. Clean up the end after cutting so that the nut runs freely.

Are they suitable for outdoors?

Galvanizing protects against corrosion in ordinary conditions, but in constant dampness and in a coastal climate the service life is shorter. Allow a margin in diameter for such areas.
